Golf Channel To Celebrate Black History Month
The Orlando Business Journal is reporting that the Golf Channel is partnering with Moxie Pictures to produce a documentary focusing on African American golfers in honor of Black History Month.
The feature, "Uneven Fairways," will use archival footage to follow the stories of men and women athletes who fought racism and other challenges to play the game of golf.
"These are inspiring stories of golfers who overcame great odds just to create a tour where they could compete," said Page Thompson, president of Golf Channel in a statement.
The feature will air on Golf Channel Feb. 11 in high definition.
