Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, the 24-year-old brother of former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, has pleaded guilty to drunken driving, eluding police and driving on the wrong side of the road, says Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney spokeswoman Amanda Howie.

Marcus was arrested in June after fleeing from a bicycle patrol officer who saw him and a woman involved in a dispute. He was stopped minutes later.

A judge suspended a 12-month jail sentence on the DUI charge, but Vick must pay $530 in fines and lose his license for a year.

The athlete was cut from the Virginia Tech team in 2006 after a series of problems. The Miami Dolphins released him a year later.
