And Common's 'Announcement?' Come on guys! I love you!!! I LOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEE YYYYOOOOOOOUUUU!!! But I can't hang with this.
Don't give me the "Kanye is eccentric" talk. I know he is. He is a creative genius, but this? Love Lockdown down sounds like a toddler got ahold of his Casio keyboard and hummed a diddy. The drums come in and that saves it a bit... but then, that is it. Nothing else. Frankly the song is just BORING and MONOTONOUS. But, because we are Kanye fans, we eat it up and make it a top 20. I am sorry. Because I am a TRUE KANYE FAN, I refuse to eat. I will go on a starvation diet before I act like that song is hot when it's not.
Same with Common. Baby?! "I'mma take you to the tip-top baby... this is hip-hop baby." No -- this is WACK, baby! These are the least sophisticated lyrics I have EVER heard from Common. How can some one so talented, so gifted, come back with a new album and release THIS as a single???
These men are true artists! So -- WHAT ARE THEY DOING!?! I sincerely want to know. My head hurts just thinking about it. I'm going to get some aspirin.
