Lil' Wayne missed out on a court appearance yesterday and once again blamed it on his health.
According to TMZ, the New Orleans rapper, real name Dwayne Carter Jr. was due in court in Yuma, Arizona on drug charges, but he cited an unnamed medical condition as the cause for his absence.
Weezy was arrested in January of 2008 when his bus was stopped at a checkpoint bordering California and Arizona, as reported by Reuters. He was taken in on suspicion of possessing cocaine, ecstasy and other drugs. Upon further inspection of the bus officers also found a .40 caliber pistol registered to Wayne in Florida and were trying to determine if he violated any gun laws.
This isn't the first time Wayne has skipped out on a court date with health issues. He was scheduled to appear in court in New York on August 14th stemming from a 2007 weapons arrest and failed to do so. At the time, Weezy cited a dental condition as preventing him from boarding a plane from Miami to New York.
Wayne pled not guilty in early May to the six charges from his Arizona arrest and is due back in court in October.
