Al Jarreau Honored In Detroit
Accepting awards now-a-days should come easy for a five-time Grammy award winner like legendary jazz crooner Al Jarreau, who will be honored at the 45th Annual Bal Africain to be held on August 2 in Detroit.
The annual fundraiser, whose theme is "Jazz: An African American Art Form," will feature elegant dining, dancing, gallery visits and a silent art auction. The festivities will also include live jam sessions from jazz artists Jimmy McKee, Modern Tribe, featuring Charles and Gwen Scales, and Marcus Belgrave's All Start Jazz Ensemble .
