Over the next few weeks, the Dean's List will be featuring the profiles of WDKX Air-Personalities. You hear them everyday on the radio, but what are they like off the air?
I've come up with a list of questions that I will ask all of them and share their answers with you.
Her name is Amharic (Ethiopian) - Elsabet and her nickname is Elsa (The same as Elizabeth and Liz). Elsabet....a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.
The first thing I noticed about Liz when I first met her was her smile. Her bubbly personality is infectious. She enjoys life to the fullest and approaches new things with the enthusiasm of a kid in a candy store.

How did you get hired at WDKX?
I was asked to freelance here years ago and (except for a brief move away to KY) never left!
Why did you want to get into radio?
I fell into it, but once I got on air with Tariq, I was at home. I sincerely LOVE my job! How many people can say that???
What was the best piece of advice you received from your parent(s)?
It was more of a command - "You have to be the best." That and: "always finish what you start." They instilled in me to strive AND ACHIEVE excellence from a very, very young age. I love them for EXPECTING success out of me. It made me know and feel that I could do anything! To this day, I never settle because of it.
What one thing do you love about Rochester?
The people! I have met the most wonderful, supportive people here. WDKX has the best listeners in the world - all around the world (check out the stats from wdkx.com!)
What one thing do you dislike about Rochester?
The violence
Describe your perfect 24 hours?
Wake up in the morning, work out at the gym, read a book in the sun at a park, meet a friend for lunch at a local cafe, get a pedicure and massage, watch a movie and drink tea with Baileys Irish Bream before going nighty-night
What's one thing would you change about yourself?
I am changing it now - my tummy! LOL! I am about to get those abs back from sophomore year of college! Watch out buddy!!!

In one sentence, what would you want the person reading your eulogy say?
She always had a positive energy about her and could make people laugh - even when they didn't want to!
