Busta Speaks Out On Slain Bodyguard

A former bodyguard of rapper Busta Rhymes was found dead in the back of his pickup truck on Wednesday (May 28).

NYPD police officers found 35 year-old Jermaine Williams dead from multiple gunshot wounds in the backseat of his SUV in Ozone Park, Queens. Police apparently discovered Williams' after they saw blood dripping from the backseat of his truck. The slain man was wrapped in blanket in the backseat of the vehicle.

A Bronx native, Williams was formerly employed as Busta Rhymes' bodyguard nearly eight years ago. In a statement exclusively released to SOHH, Busta took time out from his European tour to ask for the family of Williams' be given the proper space to mourn their loss.

"We have all suffered a great loss and Jermaine Williams will be deeply missed," he said. "He has remained a dear friend, even though we have not worked together in 8 years. Our condolences and prayers go out to his family and we ask that we be allowed to mourn the loss of our friend in peace."

It is reported Williams' went to Queens to visit his grandmother and ended up missing for almost 24 hours. He's survived by two children.

Police are still seeking the suspects who committed the murder.
