The princess of Hip-Hop and R&B has made the comeback of her lifetime with the release of her new CD, "The Declaration."
Although Ashanti's four-year departure from the music scene was beyond her control because of conflicts with her record label, The Inc., the talented artist has risen above her challenges while taking back her career.
"When someone throws you overboard from the ship, either you sink or swim," she said. "I decided to swim. It's been so long. Everyone is wondering what is going to happen. You have to go through that to grow, where you fall flat on your face or fly successfully. You need to experience both to succeed."
