Legendary kings of Rock n'Roll and R&B ? Earth, Wind & Fire will kick off their highly anticipated "Beyond The Elements" Tour on May 27th in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The "Beyond The Elements" Tour comes just weeks after co-Founders Philip Bailey and Maurice White received honorary doctorate degrees at the Berklee College of Music.
Slated for over twenty-five dates, the "Beyond The Elements" Tour will make stops in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, and Atlanta, GA before coming to a close in September.
Earth, Wind & Fire?s latest disc "Illuminations" scored the highest debut in the band's history, featuring songs produced by Raphael Saadiq, Black Eyed Peas? Will.I.Am, Organized Noise, Brian McKnight and the team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Guest performers on the hit album also include Big Boi of OutKast, Kenny G, Floetry and Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child.
"The idea of illumination is vibrant and positive," Bailey said in a press release at the time of the album's release. "Earth, Wind & Fire collaborating with the new 'soul movement' made sense because the thrust of their music is still about playing instruments and utilizing vintage sounds, only in today's setting."
