2 Court Dates Set For DMX
Earl Simmons, also known as rapper DMX, is scheduled for two pretrial conferences July 2, one in Maricopa County Superior Court, and another in Scottsdale City Court.
The Superior Court conference stems from seven misdemeanor animal-cruelty charges and four felony possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia counts.
The animal-cruelty charges were filed seven months after Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant on Simmon's Cave Creek-area home, where 12 pit bulls appeared to be undernourished, and three dogs were found buried.
The Scottsdale conference deals with Simmons May 6 arrest on suspicion of driving up to 114 mph on Loop 101 near Cactus Road. Speed cameras recorded the speed on Jan. 21.
