VH1's I Love Money

There's been a lot of love on VH1 recently. Now there's going to be a lot of money.

The network, which has built ratings and a reputation on outrageous characters from its dating shows, is bringing some of them back for "I Love Money," which will offer its winner a $250,000 grand prize.

The 12-episode series launches July 13 and will be hosted by Craig J. Jackson.

Other details about the series will be available starting this week on the VH1 blog at blog.VH1.com. Earlier this week, the blog featured pictures of former "I Love New York" contestants who will be appearing on the new show.

Once the whole cast is named, they will travel to Mexico to participate in challenges designed to test their determination to get rich.

"'I Love Money' is the perfect 'celebreality' storm as it takes the biggest, boldest and most outspoken characters from VH1's hit series and puts them on one giant show," said Jeff Olde, executive VP for programming and development at VH1. "Our producers at 51 Minds have delivered hit after hit for VH1 by casting the most water-cooler characters in the history of reality TV. We couldn't resist the opportunity to make those breakout characters the true stars of their own show."

"I Love Money" follows "I Love New York," "Rock of Love" and "Flavor of Love" onto VH1's schedule. Each of those series has averaged more than 1 million viewers per episode and have been among the 10 top-rated series in VH1 history.
