Buju Ready To Bun Down Di Garden

We have been informed that international Reggae icon Buju Banton aka Gargamel will once again blaze up the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden on Saturday May 10th at 8:00pm.

Billed as the Mother's Day Reggae Festival, this now annual extravaganza will feature performances by dancehall legend Super Cat, and one of the most recognizable voices in reggae, Barrington Levy.

This will be Buju Banton's fourth time gracing the world famous stage. Last year he played to a capacity crowd of over 5,000 energetic patrons that included former New York Knick and Jamaican national Patrick Ewing.

Buju Banton and his Shiloh Band are guaranteed to blaze up the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden with a bevy of dancehall classics from Buju's early catalog, as well as roots, lovers and other selections from his critically acclaimed albums 'Til Shiloh, Inna Heights, Unchained Spirit, Friends For Life and Too Bad.

The Mother's Day Reggae Festival is brought to you by veteran Caribbean radio personality Dahved "Rockin U" Levy through his Devonish Promotions company, with partner GB God Bless.

According to Dahved, "Patrons are booking flights and have been flying in from different countries and across different states in the U.S." He added that, "People have not seen Super Cat in action for a long time and this has created a major buzz about the show."

Levy asserted that in a continued effort to produce a classic and classy concert series, CaribbeanFever.Com brought three icons of reggae music together to compliment each other on one stage in mainstream territory.

"Part of our goal has been to move Caribbean music away from its usual community enclaves and into halls of prestige all across America," says Levy, who is host of the number one Caribbean Fever Show on 107.5 WBLS in New York. "This is necessary support for our aim to take our Caribbean music and culture to the next level in order to compete with other genres of music," he adds.

This showcasing of the Caribbean's musical icons began last year when CaribbeanFever.Com produced what was described as a phenomenal concert that featured Shabba Ranks, one of reggae music's first crossover artists and Buju Banton.

CaribbeanFever.Com then produced other highly successful shows such as 'Soca In The City' featuring Machel Montano thereby gaining acclaim as an organization of excellence.

"All CaribbeanFever.Com shows are always full of surprises," says Levy. "For instance, in last year's reggae icons in concert, the featured artists were Buju and Shabba. However, there were guest appearances by other artists including Lady Saw, Tony Matterhorn and Da'Ville.

Similarly, in the two previous sold-out Machel Montano concerts, fans were treated to surprise appearances from his friends, the likes of: Busta Rhymes, Doug E. Fresh, Shaggy, Mighty Sparrow, David Rudder and Pit Bull.
