The Dean's List - The Response!
by Dean

The Dean's List wrote a two part blog this week about the "Soul Fascination" Concert featuring Timothy Mitchum, Bobby Womack and Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.

Part 1 - was about the actual perfomance

Part 2 - was about the outfits people wore to the show

It seems as if I struck a nerve with a few people. Even though I think a few people misunderstood what I was trying to say, The Dean's List will always play fair. So, I wanted to share with all of you one of the responses that I received which pretty much sums up the others (except I wasn't called a "hater" in the other ones):

From JS:

Where should I start? Oh let's start with the person who was hating on the well dressed people at the Maze concert. We didn't look like some folks with baggy pants and a tee shirt on. You should have written about the arrangements, (poor seating, dirty seats, or the cars that had been towed away from Midas Muffler). Next time talk about something positive (like the fact that there wasn't any trouble). Don't forget hater, not everyone wants to be hip-hop. Dress to impress don't look like you just came from a Lil Wayne concert. The only time the older crowd can really dress up is when we have "old school" functions. We don't go looking like we're going to a hip hop concert. WDKX needs to slow down with the hip hop through the week. Most young people don't listen to WDKX through the week because they say their music is weak. Dump that show and play music that the young people and the older crowd enjoys from R&B to Old School. Next time bring old school music back to the Auditorium. From the man who was dressed in the purple and lavendar.

Dress to Impress, ALWAYS :)
