Beenie Man's Case Set For Trial
Amidst all his woes lately, Jamaican dancehall artiste Moses 'Beenie Man' Davis is to appear in court yesterday to answer charges of tax evasion after tax authorities released that the artiste owes approximately J$47 million.
Beenie Man appeared in court last December after a warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to appear before the tax court.
He however laid blame on Shocking Vibes, his former management company for his dilemma. He said they were the ones handling his taxes.
Beenie Man was has every intention to fight the case which was set to go on trial on April 29, 2008.
According to his lawyer, Roderick Gordon, Beenie Man maintains that he does not owe the government any income tax.
