Whats up Rochester??? I am the voice of the 585, B.I.R.D.
Wanted to respond to a few things.
-First, my Dallas Cowboys did in fact lose to the New York Giants. I am a man who makes no excuses. We lost. But in all honesty, I don't think the NFC has a snowball's chance in hell of beating The Chargers or The Patriots.
-Second, to all who have questioned my morning whereabouts. I'm still here @ the station. The "Powers That Be" have me assigned to production (i.e "Fact Of The Day"). I'm also going to be doing more live remotes, I'm told. I DON'T like the change. I'd rather be on air with my team, but I'm NOT the boss. Hopefully, things will work for the best, like they always do around here.
-I also want to inform our local talent that I'm pushing for some sort of newer format for local music. I would like to implement a system in which online listeners can vote for their favorites & that would dictate who makes the airwaves.
-Lastly, I will NOT be accepting ANY cd's in '08. You can email me, BIRD@WDKX.com and I will forward them to our music director. And sending me your music guarantees NOTHING. I forward the tracks, then IF the director likes them, they let me know & I let you know. Stop being upset with me if your music doesn't get through. Keep recording GOOD material & eventually you will get noticed. It happened to me!!!
