Twenty year old St. Lucian national Cathy Daniel has walked away with the title of the first ever Ford Models'/Face of Fashion Supermodel of the Caribbean 2007/2008.
Daniel won the title from a field of 12 participants, from the Caribbean islands of St. Lucia, Dominica, Martinique and Trinidad, who participated in the week-long event. The first runner-up was Shalan St. Hill age 16 while the second runner-up was Stephanie Peter, 19. All three are from St. Lucia.
During the days leading up to the grand finale, the models took part in radio interviews, photo shots, catwalk training and hair and make-up makeovers at the exclusive Caribbean Jewel Beach Resort in St. Lucia.
The contestants strutted and glided in Face Of Fashion Caribbean Designer�s Collection 2007/2008, showcasing upcoming designers: Dominican, Carla Hazel � Caribbean Fusion colourful line; Dominican - Ivenia Raffoul � Swim wear line and Trinidad - Huworth Leonce - H.L.L. Design line.
