The black blogosphere is currently flooded with reports that "The Color Purple" superstar Fantasia Barrino is pregnant with rapper Young Dro's baby. Yes, the very Dro who taught listeners how to "Shoulder Lean" in 2006.
As previously reported, The Post's Michael Riedel wrote last week that Fantasia has missed nearly 50 performances since the summer, disappointing fans and causing ticket holders to request refunds at the box office.
The "American Idol 3" winner, who already has a 6-year-old daughter, Zion Quari, is scheduled to end her extended Broadway run as Miss Celie on Jan. 6. Chaka Khan and Bebe Winans join the company as Sofia and Harpo, respectively, on Jan. 9.
Also, yesterday (Dec. 19) marked the Broadway debut of Fantasia's fellow "American Idol" alumnus LaKisha Jones as the Church Soloist.
