Da Brat Released On Bond
Da Brat, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, is a free woman after posing $50,000 bond in her aggravated assault case.
The rapper was taken into custody on Thursday Nov. 1 after she was arrested for smashing a rum bottle over the head of an unidentified waitress at Studio 72, a new club in the Atlanta area recently opened by her former mentor, Jermaine Dupri.
An argument was sparked between the waitress and the 33-year-old artist after the club employee allegedly bumped into her. The heated exchange escalated into a shoving match, which allegedly resulted in Da Brat's assault against the woman.
The victim was taken to the hospital with lacerations and swelling on her face.
