More Troubles For The Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom escaped injury Tuesday morning after crashing his car in Hawthorne, Calif., reports TMZ.com

Police sources say the athlete was behind the wheel of his Mercedes when he ran a red light and slammed into a Geo Prism driven by a 37-year-old woman. Firefighters reportedly used the Jaws of Life to free her from the wreckage.

The victim's family tells TMZ that she is in serious but stable condition with a head wound and injuries to her left leg.

No alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident, sources tell the Web site. Also, Odom reportedly stayed with the victim and was very concerned about her well being.
