Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds both seem to be ready for marriage number two.
So much so that one of the two high-profile divorcees is saying so.
"We're coming close," the 40 year old Hollywood power broking beauty said in an interview with People yesterday. "And I'll say it'll be before the end of the year ... and someplace far away and fun."
Edmonds, the former wife of superstar music producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, has been romantically linked to the 'Beverly Hills Cop' star for a little over a year now. Their whirlwind romance heated up during the promotion of the legendary comedian's Academy Award nominated turn in 'Dreamgirls.'
After 13 years of marriage, the movie and TV producer split from her husband citing "irreconcilable differences." They have two sons together.
Murphy, on the other hand, was recently embroiled in a messy paternity scandal with Spice Girls member Melanie Brown, who he fathered a newborn child with. He already has five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. He reportedly has nine children with five different women.
Despite the bumps along the road, the marriage plans continue.
Edmonds, who produced this summer's slapstick comedy 'Who's Your Caddy,' noted that the guest list for the wedding will be small, and that she expects the ceremony to be "romantic."
"It's just going to be very close friends and family but very romantic ? and we'll have a good time!" she said.
With a reported 11 kids between the two, it will be amazing to see what roles offspring will play in the actual ceremony.
"There will be some adjusting but I think it's going to be a lot of fun," Edmonds said. "Eddie's got some fantastic, beautiful fun kids and I've got two wonderful boys, so it'll be nice to get everybody together."
