The New York Post's Page Six is reporting that Usher has scrapped initial plans to release new music next month so that he can devote his time and energy to wife Tameka Foster and their unborn baby.
According to an insider, a new CD is "not happening anymore" due to "issues in his personal life" relating to Foster, who married the entertainer in August and is due to deliver their baby later this year.
The source told the column: "Usher only listens to Tameka now, and she wants all Usher's focus to be on her and the baby."
Promotion of the new album was supposed to coincide with the recent launch of his two fragrances, the newspaper reports.
"The album had been in the works for over a year," the insider added. "He put it on the back burner when Tameka got pregnant . . . now it looks like it's never going to happen."
