R & B diva Janet Jackson has revealed that her new untitled CD will be released under Island/Def Jam Records.
Ms. Jackson has also stated her album will be released in the first quarter (First 3 months) of 2008.
Janet has collaborated on the new album with Ne-Yo, Jermaine Dupri and producer Rodney "Dark Child" Jerkins.
Janet has NOT however done ANY work with her production duo of 20 years, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis!! What da...
This is one of da times I wish I could get loose, but Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis have been responsible for creating more Janet hits than Mr. Dupri or Mr. Jerkins have hits total.
And no disrespect to either of them. I actually love sum of Jerkins' joints and yes Jermaine we know, you've been gettin money since Kriss Kross.
But for every "Dark Child" record, theres a classic Janet joint dat Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis have cemented into the brain of generations of listeners.
And sorry Jermaine, your records with Mariah and Usher are great newer records, but will "Confessions" or "We Belong Together" have da same emotional impact 10 years from now?? I know Janet's "Control" & Miss U Much" have for longer than that!!
I hope Janet will team back up with her boys and make history again. Remember her last album that Jermaine executive produced?? Remember any of the songs even?? Okay then.
