Since when did texting become a substitute for having an actual conversation -- especially if you are trying to game a girl???
Ladies, we all know how lazy men can be -- refusing to do much more than pick up a video game controller or remote -- so, is it no wonder now, with the wonderful innovation of texting, that some communicate through clicking the keys on their phone when it comes to relationships... even when they don't even have the girl yet?
All the sweet little nothings and flirts whispered into the phone have now been replaced with a couple of quick texts -- and if your man is really being sweet -- a smiley face or, better yet, a kissy face smiley face! Awwww! PLEASE!
Even good guys fall into the trap -- calling now 50% of the time and texting the other (as opposed to super-lazy guys who text a good 80% of the time).
If you are a man and you are reading this you are probably thinking "So, what's the big deal?" The big deal is that your effort has now become minimal and if we don't feel special, we find ourselves NOT doing the special little things that you guys like. That leads to conflict, which leads to fights, which leads to break-ups, and then references to exes using four-letter words and wide-sweeping gestures of back-handing an imaginary version of that person.
Texting IS SWEET if it is a little bit throughout the day when you are working or going to class. In fact, you actually EARN POINTS for that. BUT -- if you are at home sitting around or in the car driving or at the store or any other time when you are not really doing something that occupies all of your intellect, then pick up the phone and call your woman! It doesn't take much to make us happy. All you got to do is act right and do the little things.
As for the guy who chooses to game through texting alone: I know it is easier and less awkward to flirt through text at first instead of SAYING those things, but just know that when you do SAY it, it MEANS twice as much. Do the math and that means it should take half the time to get her. See? You can still be lazy and make her happy. Everyone wins!
DISCLAIMER: Ladies, if your man is texting you more than 90% of the time or if you go days without hearing his voice, rest assured the texting is actually just placating. More than likely he is interviewing other candidates for your position. Sorry... it happens to the best of us ;)
