Sex in the City Finally Adds Some Color

Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls) has joined the cast of New Line's Sex and the City: The Movie. Hudson will portray the assistant to Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw.

The film revolves around the lives of the four main Sex and the City characters, four years after the timeframe of the finale of the HBO series, which wrapped up its six-year run in 2004.

The movie began shooting in New York on September 19th.

Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Chris Noth have signed on to reprise their roles, and Michael Patrick King, the series' longtime creative leader and executive-producer, is set to write and direct.
