Taye Diggs makes his third go on an ABC series tonight with the premiere of "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off "Private Practice."
Having been the star of two cancelled shows ("Kevin Hill" and "Day Break"), the actor's not ready to permanently uproot from NY to LA just yet, he recently told Ellen DeGeneres. "We'll see how it goes," he says. I'm thinking maybe this ensemble cast will work better for him, but that's me. Even in the movies, he's thrived best alongside other stars.
The important question is, will he get a "Mc-" nickname like McDreamy and McSteamy?
"I think they're trying to steer away from all of those nicknames to try and give us our own style," Diggs told Ellen. "I always thought if they did go in that direction I could be McChocolatey." After a beat, he added, "Just kidding."
