My cousin raised a good question the other day. She asked why has the press paid so much attention to the Britney Spears situation, but more importantly to the health and welfare of her children, but never have you heard any concerns about Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston.
I've racked my brain and tried to view this with an open mind. I can't help but think about the millions of children that turn up missing on a yearly basis. It seems as if you come from a affluent neighborhood, you have a two parent home, good jobs, etc., you seem to get more press coverage. Studies have shown that news stations provide more press coverage for missing girls who are white with blond hair and blue eyes.
I feel for the children of Britney and K-Fed. I pray that they are taken care of and shielded from all of the drama involved with their idiot mother and unemployed father. The good thing is that they are too young to witness how dysfunctional their family really is.
Bobbi Kristina is a teenage girl. Can you imagine the trauma she is going through dealing with Newport, weed, and crack smoking parents who wash it all down with a beer? Who is looking out for her best interest? Where is all of the press coverage? Is there a double standard? I would hope not, but what other conclusion can I come to?
