KANYE WEST VS. MTV
The New York Daily News is reporting that Kanye West has worn out his welcome at MTV following his infamous backstage rant at the Video Music Awards over going home with zero-out-of-five trophies.
"They have decided he is just too difficult to deal with," the newspaper quotes a source as saying.
Another source claims West's rant also had to do with Justin Timberlake having a bigger suite than he did - one that had its own basketball court.
In his latest drama with the music channel, West was reportedly booked to participate in an MTV-sponsored voter awareness event that also features Bill Clinton, but those plans have fallen through.
'Clinton sent him a letter asking him to participate, but he said he also wanted a personal phone call from the [former] President," explains the source. Needless to say, MTV booked Alicia Keys in his place.
A rep for MTV confirmed West is not participating in the event but added: "Saying MTV does not wish to work with him would be inaccurate. ...He has been the one who has been vocal about saying he will never work with us again."
