As host of the WDKX Water Cooler, I can't tell you how sick and tired my team and I or of cover this topic. Violence! I'm about as sick of it as you are, reading, watching, and hearing it just about every week. The thing Rochester is great city. But, how many times do we hear one or two lives are changed forever and no one wins the battle. One person is dead and another is going to jail for 10-20 years. (We all lose the War) The deceased, and the person and/or people responsible, their families have lost them one way or another. One of the way to help stop it, is to keep the dialogue going about it. So me, my team (Liz, Andy & Bird) and guests (Van, Adam, Cherly and Mara), with the help of the community press on at The Water Cooler weekday mornings at 9am.

Lord, There is something on my mind
That's really bothering me.
It's about killing mothers' children.
It's not the way it use to be.
We used to be safe in our homes,
Outside our homes too.
We all had so many things
That we all had to do.
Lord, there is something on my mind
That really bothering me.
It about children dying.
Lord strengthen their family.
Lord there is something on my mind
That's really bothering me.
The guns killing our children
The killer in misery.
Lord there is something on my mind
That's really bothering me.
Lord help us catch the killers
And set our minds free.
Lord, please stop the killers
Who have the guns in their hands
Thinking about killing someone else
Any place they stand.
Lord, there are so many people dying,
What can we all do?
Please Lord take the guns away from the killers.
Have mercy on the killers too.
