What: This event is being offered under the aegis of the Austin Stewart Foundation, a group of committed volunteers who wish to provide an opportunity for members and supporters of the African American community to come together as a family in fellowship to simply enjoy each other?s company and acknowledge the accomplishments of a few of our outstanding citizens such as you.
We believe that the first step in increasing our connectedness as a community and our commitment to building strong neighborhoods and social capital is to pierce the veil of anonymity by our busy, fast moving lives. Simply put, we need to get to know each other. The Rochester Gathering presents such an opportunity. We are offering food (vendors), fun, games and fellowship for the sole purpose of helping to strengthen our community and celebrate the wonderfully abundant assets and achievements of community leaders and unsung neighbors alike.
