"Umbrella" singer Rihanna says she won't give the tabloids any reason to rain on her parade. The Barbados native tells the forthcoming issue of "Complex" magazine that she's not the type to get caught up in type of drama that seems to follow tabloid favorites like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. Rihanna says, quote, "Everyone has control of what they do as an individual. I'm very sure about who I am as a person and what I am here to do. I'm here in L.A., but I'm still not 'here in L.A.'." She adds, "I come from a very different place, and it gives me an advantage." In the new issue of "Complex," Rihanna also talks about Jay-Z as a mentor, her new album, her ventures into acting and the kind of guys she likes. Rihanna says she's into "the mysterious guy." Those, she says, are the ones that make her swoon. The new issue of "Complex" magazine is due out on newsstands on June 12th.
