Hi-Five Singer Found Dead

Singer Tony Thompson of the 1990s R&B quintet Hi-Five has died. The "Waco Tribune Herald" quotes sources who say Thompson was found dead last Friday night in his hometown of Waco, Texas. He was 31. It's suspected that Thompson may have died of a drug overdose, but an official cause of death has yet to be determined. With Hi-Five, Thompson topped the charts in the 1990s with hits such as "I Like The Way (The Kissing Game)," "I Can't Wait Another Minute" and "I Just Can't Handle It." The group disbanded in the mid-90s, but reunited last year to release the album "The Return" on Thompson's own record label N'Depth. Thompson was reportedly working on material for a new album before his death.
